How We Got Here
Several years ago we switched our egress window supplier from Pella to ProVia. We love the ProVia windows, and we think you will too when we explain the excellent warranty that comes with our egress windows.
Lifetime Egress Window Warranty
The windows we use come with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. So what does lifetime mean? In this case, it actually means the rest of your life, provided you are still living in that same home.
For example, let’s say we install a ProVia egress window and 35 years later the window frame cracks or peels. So long as you’re still living at that same address, that window is still covered under warranty.
What is Covered Under Warranty?
All the vinyl and factory-applied wood components of the window, excluding any jam extensions, are warranted against chipping, cracking, peeling, pitting, blistering, warping or delamination.
In addition, the hardware, the glass, and the screens all carry the lifetime warranty. What this means is that if the glass in one of your ProVia windows breaks, and your insurance won’t cover the expense, ProVia will replace it for free.
Are There Any Exclusions?
Yes, there are certain models and features that are excluded from the lifetime warranty. For a detailed breakdown of what's covered, you can take a look at their official warranty information.
Does This Warranty Transfer If I Sell My Home?
Yes! This warranty is transferable to the person who purchases your home. The lifetime warranty remains in effect for the person who purchases your home. If the new homeowner sells it, the warranty is no longer valid, because it can only be transferred one time.
